PATIENTS being treated for motor neurone disease at Royal Preston Hospital can benefit from new equipment thanks to a donation.
Karen Barnes raised [pounds sterling]525 to buy a mobile arm support for use in the MND clinic after her sister died of the disease last year.
She held a concert at her church, where a choir, concert band and tenor all performed.
The equipment helps increase mobility for patients with little muscle strength in their arms.
The MND team can assess whether patients would benefit from having the equipment in their own homes.
