A TAXI driver has hit out after the teenage thug who smashed a bottle over his head was sentenced to eight months in prison.
The 17-year-old thug, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was jailed after pleading guilty to wounding at Preston Youth Court.
Keith Chester, who has worked as a taxi driver since 1992, needed four stitches after being hit by the half-full bottle of brandy in a car park in Tanterton.
Mr Chester, 47, said: "I think it was a hoax job with the intention of robbing the driver.
"He should have got more than eight months. Not only was it an unprovoked attack, it was vicious and frenzied. I was called to ...
