Preston's Gay Short Films Fest will open on August 10 as part of a project hosted by John McBride and Preston community outreach group Community Chest.
The screening is a result of 11 months' hard work by John and a team of aspiring film makers. They produced 12 films, all with a gay or lesbian theme yet all with different stories.
Organiser Mr McBride, who was also involved in the making of the films, got a grant from Community Chest, and as a finale the city council has part-funded the opening which will take place in Roper Hall, Friargate.
