Cameroon's timber exporters are likely to benefit from new European environmental measures which are designed to encourage importation of timber only from sustainable forestry projects.
The Belgian and British sections of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) have chosen Cameroon as the pilot country to encourage European consumption of tropical timber from sustainably managed forests.
