Firm is growing faster than rivals, but trails in per-partner revenue

When Korn/Ferry International made a questionably high bid back in 1992 to buy a struggling British executive search firm, many thought it was a big mistake.

At the time, industry consultant David A. Lord called it, "a real roll of the dice."

But the gamble clearly seems to be paying off. The $20 million purchase has catapulted Korn/Ferry into the international arena, which has been its single-biggest area of growth for four years now.
