Cable News Network may dominate the 24-hour television news business, but CNN president Tom Johnson is taking three players gunning for his viewers - ABC, NBC/Microsoft Corp. and Fox - as very serious threats.
"I am in no way underestimating the power and determination of these other channels," said Johnson, who took over the reins at CNN in August 1990. "They are all very strong companies."
