Saint Paul, OR-based HAZENBERG DAIRY was issued a warning letter on June 10, 2008 by FDA after an investigation of the company's dairy operation on Mar. 26 and 28, 2008 and Apr. 3, 2008. The investigation found that the company offered five dairy cows for slaughter as food that were adulterated under certain sections of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The inspection also revealed that the company caused the new animal drug penicillin to become unsafe under a section of the Act.
