Preston North End returned to winning ways against an under-strength Norwich side at Deepdale.
But after controlling the first half and going in two goals up, Paul Simpson's side suffered a mini-nervous breakdown after the break and were forced to cling on to the three points.
Pavel Pergl marked his debut with a stunning goal to give North End a 28th-minute lead.
