DUSHANBE SUMMIT A STEP TOWARD STRONGER SCO - RAKHMON
DUSHANBE. Aug 27 (Interfax) - The upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will become a step towards organization's stronger role on the world stage, Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon said on Wednesday.
The presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan arrive in Dushanbe on Wednesday, to attend the eighth summit of the SCO heads of state. Chinese leader Hu Jintao is already in Tajikistan on a state visit.
