A TEENAGER has been shot and killed in tragic accident.
Alex Bailey, 18, from Church Lane, Kingston, died instantly when he was shot in the back of the head at close range with a shotgun.
The former Priory School pupil had been out shooting with two friends on land belonging to a local farmer in Southease.
A friend was aiming at a pigeon when Alex was accidentally caught in the line of fire.
His family are distraught and are keen to make it clear it was a 'terrible accident'.
Alex was an experienced gun handler who had held a shotgun licence for more than a year.
The two other boys also had shotgun licences.
