Respected legal expert Professor Extraordinaire Shadrack Gutto has condemned the government for what he termed its "confused and moribund response" to the recent xenophobic attacks that claimed the lives of 62 people, most of them foreigners from Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
Gutto alleged that to date not a single murderer had been arrested, charged and tried in court, nor have those who committed rape and other forms of gross violence.
Gutto - who prefers to classify the attacks as Afrophobia or Negrophobia rather than xenophobia - said it was was dangerous and unreasonable for government to expect the victims of these attacks to ...
