OLDWICK, N.J. -- A.M. Best Co. has removed from under review with negative implications and affirmed the financial strength rating (FSR) of A- (Excellent) for Afianzadora Insurgentes, S.A. de C.V. (AISA). Concurrently, A.M. Best has assigned an FSR of A- (Excellent) to Afianzadora Aserta, S.A. de C.V. (Aserta) and issuer credit ratings of "a-" to Aserta and AISA (both of Mexico). The outlook assigned to all ratings is stable.
These rating actions reflect the solid risk-adjusted capitalization of both companies and their significant market share in the Mexican surety insurance segment on a consolidated basis.
