NEWPORT NEWS, Va. _ A friend once said the trait that is considered one's best sometimes has the pendulum effect of also being considered one's worst.
The recent U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials brought that message back.
Can you care too much and focus too hard on something? Does accepting a loss gracefully necessarily indicate maturity? Is everyone supposed to have the same perspective on what's meaningful in his or her life?
