THE BULKY, dead-eyed Will Ferrell was funny in Elf, where he played Santa's biggest and most cackhanded helper, and Blades Of Glory, in which he played a ridiculously egotistical, sexcrazed ice-skater.
Unfortunately, he also been responsible for some of the least amusing comedies of recent years. A Night At The Roxbury, Superstar and Semi-Pro were all horribly over-extended sketches. Step Brothers is another of these, and in some ways it's nastier than any of them.
