Jun. 25--Three prominent Twin Cities publications -- Corporate Report Minnesota, Twin Cities Reader and Minneapolis/St. Paul CityBusiness -- are being acquired by American City Business Journals, a unit of the vast Newhouse family empire that publishes The New Yorker, GQ, Vanity Fair and other magazines and newspapers.
American City Business Journals, a unit of Newhouse-owned Advance Publications, said on Monday it reached agreement to acquire CityMedia Inc. of Minneapolis. CityMedia owns the three Twin Cities publications and weekly business journals in Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee and Sacramento, Calif. The purchase is expected to close later this ...
