FAMILIES of soldiers killed in Iraq have slammed the handling of Prince Harry's deployment to the war-torn country.
As a decision was made not to send the young Prince to the Middle East, questions were today being asked about his military future.
Families on Wearside who have lost children in the conflict criticised the high-profile nature of the decision.
John Miller, 55, of Washington, father of Corporal Simon Miller, 21, one of six military policemen killed in Iraq, said: "Everybody should have just kept their mouths shut and sent him over there without any fuss.
"But it all suddenly became so public that it ended up being too much ...
