SUNDERLAND'S Tony Jeffries won a silver medal at the Strandja International Cup in Bulgaria.
Having beaten Sweden's Baba Kamara in the semi-final, the Wearside light-heavyweight (right) was withdrawn from yesterday's final as a precaution after suffering headaches.
But his injured right hand, which has hampered his preparations for next month's Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, stood up to the test of two bouts in the space of three days.
