Winning is what matters. Not entertaining the crowd or re-inventing a game that has been around for over a century.
While fans and critics might moan here and there were the Boks to win all their matches by penalties, at the end of the day they'd be satisfied with a victory over Australia or New Zealand. The bottom line in sport - how players, the team and the coach are judged - comes down to the result.
If the Springbok coach, the fans, and for that matter the people who employed De Villiers, are to regain any faith in a team that just 10 months ago won the World Cup, then the Boks had better win today.
