RALEIGH, N.C., June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- This summer, hundreds of North Carolina teachers will briefly abandon their hard-earned vacation time to get a jump start on the next school year. With plenty of creative thinking and a modest amount of paperwork, many of them will be rewarded later this year with a Bright Ideas grant from North Carolina's electric cooperatives.
The Bright Ideas grant program benefits North Carolina students by providing funds for educators in grades K-12 to support innovative, creative and effective initiatives that cannot be covered by traditional school financing.
