JIMMY BULLARD was handed a remarkable World Cup chance last night as Fabio Capello appeared to call time on Michael Owen's England career.
Fulham midfielder Bullard was the shock choice by Capello in the squad for the opening 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Croatia. But Bullard's delight came as Capello amazingly decided to snub Owen (right) for the crunch tie in Zagreb, despite an early-season injury crisis which leaves him without Steven Gerrard, Owen Hargreaves and Michael Carrick.
