RESIDENTS are celebrating a [pounds sterling]5,000 award which will help rejuvenate the Trafalgar Square area of Scarborough.
The Trafalgar Square Community Improvement Project received the What it Takes award in recognition of its work reducing the impact of crime and disorder.
The award was presented by the chief constable of West Yorkshire, Sir Norman Bettison, at an awards ceremony at Leeds Town Hall. The community group won one of three runner-up prizes of [pounds sterling]5,000.
