STAMP duty will be suspended today for 12 months on all homes costing up to pounds 175,000 in an attempt to revive the flagging housing market.
Buyers across North Wales are among those who will reap the most rewards from the move, with the average house price for the region pounds 154,822, according to the latest figures.
Scrapping the 1% levy will save just over pounds 1,500 on an average house.
Land Registry figures show a conflicting picture of house price fortunes across North and Mid Wales.
