WASHINGTON, June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Plaintiffs who successfully challenged the Communications Decency Act, a federal law that unconstitutionally censored cyberspace, today said they look forward to the case being heard by the Supreme Court.
"We believe that once the Justices review the compelling evidence we presented to the lower court, they will agree that this law is overbroad, vague and seeks to censor lawful speech on the Internet," said Jerry Berman of the Center for Democracy and Technology, a co-founder of the Citizens Internet Empowerment Coalition.
