CHICAGO, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- ABC Rail Products Corp. (Nasdaq: ABCR) announced today it has established a wheel monitoring, wheel assembly, and trackwork service operation in Tacoma, Washington. The facility is targeted at enhancing service, reducing lead times and eliminating long-distance freight costs for its northwestern United States and western Canadian customers. The facility follows on the heels of ABC Rail's recent acquisition of Deco Industries, a railroad retarder and control systems supplier in Milwaukee. The Deco acquisition closed Monday, May 31, 1996.
