A teenage swimming champion plans to make the most of his gap year by swimming the English Channel - before setting his sights on the London Olympics.
Ambitious Hedingham school pupil, 17-year-old Chris Eynon from Gestingthorpe, is currently studying A-level history, PE and geography.
He has been swimming competitively since he was 12 and in the last two years has focused his attention on open water swimming.
Open water swimming will become a sport at the Olympics for the first time when the games are held in Beijing next year.
