Naudero, Sindh, September 03 (PPI) : Massive tree cutting is going on since a month under the patronage of local police and forest officials in Sharifpur Forest, spread over 2000 acres, on the right bank of Indus river in Larkana district. Over one hundred workers of a contractor are engaged in tree cutting from dawn to dusk. The wood is transported in donkey carts and tractor trolleys to Naudero from where it is shifted to Balochistan in trucks. The tree cutting has been given legal cover through auctioning the 450-acre area on the pretext of removing old trees besides being the hideout of bandits.
