UNITED Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has suspended three members of staff as part of an investigation into waiting list irregularities.
Health bosses insist that the move is a "neutral act" which will enable a detailed investigation into the problem to continue but they have not been able to name those concerned.
Last week it was revealed that hospitals had given patients appointments which could not be carried out as fictitious waiting lists had been created to meet Government targets.
The move resulted in 1,200 people being placed on a suspended list as the appointments were listed as patient cancellations rather than hospital cancellations.
