CALLS have been made for planners to address a chronic lack of public open space in Spalding.
Spalding and District Civic Society believes that as Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field remains closed to the public, greater effort needs to be made to find suitable sites which can be considered as green open space.
They feel that many people consider the field belongs to Spalding United Football Club, even though it was left to the town by the Sir Halley Stewart Trust.
