Midland property company A&J Mucklow said yesterday it is preparing to start buying industrial and commercial properties in the Midlands as soon as it believes prices have stopped falling despite writing down the value of its existing mainly Midlands property portfolio by pounds 41.2 million.
The decline was fairly evenly divided between the two half years, but culminated in a sharp slide in June, said chairman Rupert Mucklow. Since then there has been very little activity.
