An Onondaga County corrections officer who lost his arm Monday in a motorcycle crash on Lodi Street was in fair condition and his passenger was in serious condition Tuesday at University Hospital.

Eric A. Klisz, 45, of Jamesville, was driving a 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he veered off the 2600 block of Lodi Street about 4 p.m., said Lt. Joe Cecile, speaking for Syracuse police. Klisz struck a utility pole guy wire and his right arm was severed in the crash.
