John E. Rehfeld started as president and CEO for Proxima Corp. during a transitional time.
Although sales revenues were strong and growing for the desktop projection company, product development was bogged down and too much development time was spent on new products, said Todd Savitt, investor communications manager.
"The problem last year was that we had a lot of new products in the pipeline but could not get them out to market," Savitt said. "We were engineering the products to death, always trying to improve them before they came out."
Rehfeld replaced Kenneth Olson, who stepped down as Proxima's president but remains chairman of the board.
