Springbok coach Peter de Villiers walked out of Loftus Versfeld yesterday after holding a brief meeting with Blue Bulls coach Frans Ludeke all smiles but with nothing to say.

De Villiers refused to speak to the media and even though he laughed and smiled there was a sense that he was probably hurting inside. The reality was no doubt sinking in that the close-knit family structure that he hadbuilt in the Springbok team will this Saturday be severed as the Blue Bulls and Sharks wage war on each other in Durban in the Absa Currie Cup.
