/ADVANCE/VANCOUVER, B.C., July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a study in this week's issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), a twice-daily dose of Famvir(R) (oral famciclovir, SmithKline Beecham) significantly reduced all symptoms of recurrent genital herpes in immunocompetent patients treated within six hours of symptoms or lesion onset.
