A MARINE company has heeded a distress call from a hotel.
Solar Solve, a manufacturer of anti-glare roller screens for ships, was called in to replace shades at the Sea Hotel, in South Shields.
The screens, replacing ones fitted by the firm 14 years ago, allow diners in its restaurant to better enjoy views of the South Marine Park without excessive sun glare.
Idea
Land-based work is proving to be an expanding market for the marine manufacturing company, and it is about to move into much bigger premises.
