A PENSIONER underwent a five-hour brain operation after collapsing while her home was being revamped.
Agnes McCaffery, 74, of Hebburn, became highly agitated while South Tyneside Homes carried out a major refurbishment of her home.
She later suffered a brain aneurysm and underwent lengthy surgery at Newcastle General Hospital, where she is still recuperating.
Mrs McCaffery's family feel more consideration should have been given to her, as she has already had a lymph gland removed while battling cancer, had a hip replacement and also ...
