RECORD crowds are set to gallop to next month's Flagg Races - the biggest attendance in its 115-year history.
The races, this year sponsored by Sheffield Newspapers, date back to 1892.
And there have been many changes since the early days of the races which remain the only major point-to-point meeting in the whole country.
In early times, entries were taken on the day, there would be no weight or handicap considerations and health and safety hadn't even been conceived.
Back in the mid-1890s, admission cost a bob - and a whole char-a-banc ...
