There is no word for "security" in Swedish. The commonly used term is "sakerhet," which means both protection and safety. Only recently, confronted with its place in a changing world, has the Scandinavian nation faced its need for well-trained security professionals. In response, it has begun to develop vanguard educational programs at the university level to address the nation's future security needs.
