LEE Westwood is still fancied to be one of Ian Woosnam's two Ryder Cup wild card picks.
Illness forced the Worksop ace to pull out of the final round of the World Championship in Akron at the weekend.
But Westwood remains among the five understood to be on the short-list and from which Woosnam will name two next Sunday.
The other four under consideration are believed to be Darren Clarke, Thomas Bjorn, Ian Poulter and Carl Pettersson who would have earned himself a debut if he had been a member of the European Tour from the start of qualifying. He actually would have top of the table.
