Sheffield Sharks qualified for the semi-finals of the BBL Cup following a 76-64 victory over Leicester Riders courtesy of a suffocating fourth quarter defensive effort which restricted Riders to only nine points.
Riders had the better of the opening 10 minutes due to the strong inside play of experienced forwards Del Herriman and Andrew Alleyne whilst Sheffield opted to rely almost entirely on jump-shots but struggled to score with any regularity.
