Huawei, ZTE, ASB and Motorola to win China Telecom's CDMA tender with huge losses - analyst

INTERFAX-CHINA - Telecom equipment manufacturers Huawei Technologies, ZTE Corp., Alcatel Shanghai Bell (ASB) and Motorola Inc. are expected to be winners in China Telecommunications Corp.'s (China Telecom) first CDMA equipment tender, but will incur huge losses as a result, an analyst said on Sept. 8.
"Because Huawei quoted an ultra-low price of RMB 690 million ($100.8 million), other vendors were requested to re-quote their prices. ZTE and ASB have cut their prices by almost half. I expect that Huawei, ZTE, ASB and Motorola ...
