SOUTH Yorkshire MPs have given their wholehearted backing to The Star's campaign to bring back county cricket back to the area.
They said it would help bring on talented youngsters and see a return to the glory days when the cricketing greats such as Fred Trueman and Sir Garfield Sobers played at Bramall Lane.
The Star's Bring Cricket Home Campaign aims to bring the sport back to a venue such as Abbeydale or Shaw Lane in Barnsley.
