PET owners are being urged to act as eyes and ears for the police and report firework throwing youths wreaking havoc on the streets of South Yorkshire in the run up to Bonfire Night.
Police say animal owners are in a good position to inform them about anti-social behaviour hotspots as they are often targeted by youths.
And they have urged owners to use the new 101 number to report incidents.
