WASHINGTON _ Here are some exercise tips from medical experts:
_Use the stairs _ up and down _ instead of the elevator. Start with one flight of stairs and gradually build up to more.
_Park a few blocks from the office or store and walk the rest of the way. Or if you ride public transportation, get off one or two stops early and walk a few blocks.
_Take an exercise break _ get up from your desk and stretch, walk around and give your muscles and mind a chance to relax. Walk your report over to the next building instead of sending it by interoffice mail.
_Instead of eating that extra snack, take a brisk stroll around the neighborhood.
