As Coon Rapids built a 9-0 first-quarter lead Friday, Cardinals backers in the press box proclaimed, "Blowout."
Instead, Coon Rapids blew it.
Four fumbles, including two by quarterback Blair Townsend inside Anoka's 20-yard line, proved too much for the Cardinals to overcome in a 15-9 loss.
Anoka's Seth Mathis scored the winning touchdown from two yards out with 1:39 remaining. The drive began, fittingly, after Coon Rapids running back Joe Novak fumbled just inside Tornadoes territory.
