CROFTON Young People's Centre celebrated its official opening last week.
Young people demonstrated dance and martial arts and heard performances from local band Escape Plan and singer Danny Greaves.
Since opening in April the centre has proved very popular with the community.
Young people were involved from the start, working with architects, designers and youth work staff to come up with the design of the building.
Built in the grounds of Crofton High School, the centre includes a coffee bar, kitchen, group-work room, health and information point, and outdoor leisure centre.
