LITTLE Darianne Auty's courage in battling the odds after she was mowed down by a hit-and-run driver has been recognised at a star-studded awards ceremony.
Only 11 months ago, the youngster, then five, was left on the brink of death after a car ploughed into her in front of her mum Amber Musgreave and older sister Rose.
Her skull was badly fractured, her eye socket was smashed and her left leg was badly broken in the horrific incident near her home in Lupset.
