DEPARTING council chief executive John Foster will leave behind an ambitious programme of developments which will change the face of Wakefield.
His time in the city has seen the council climb up performance ratings, achieving the national title of Most Improved Council.
The city's renaissance includes the [pounds sterling]200m Trinity Walk project, billed as one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken in Wakefield.
The new developments will include a new market hall, department store, central library, supermarket, shops and apartments all built on neglected sites around the Marsh Way area of the city.
