Sandsend Village Hall could be shut down if money is not found soon to safeguard its future and pay for vital repairs.

The hall in Sandsend Valley is used by community groups and is hired out for craft fairs, although the amount of money generated from its use only just meets the hall's running costs.

The village hall committee has held two crisis meetings in the last month to try to drum up local support to help with fund-raising to cover the cost of repairs to the hall and to get new people on board the committee.
