A MAN has hit out at Scarborough Council over its lack of toilet provision after he found human excrement close in Church Street.
Richard Ward who is a member of Whitby Chartered Skippers Association (WCSA) was walking close to the site of the old Church Street toilets earlier this month (beginning of September) on the way down to his boat.
The closure of Whitby's Church Street toilets by Scarborough Council in a cost-cutting exercise last year has caused wide-spread consternation amongst local people and anglers.
Mr Ward, who took a picture of the scene, told the Whitby Gazette: "I was firstly greeted with the smell.
"On a not too close inspection I found ...
