Sales of French goats cheese have risen by nearly one third in volume over the past year as more people treat themselves at home.

The total volume of French goats cheese sold in the UK was 522,000kg in the year to 16 June, according to TNS research for the Goats Cheese Campaign. This represented a 30% rise from the 400,000kg of the previous 12 months. The market is valued at 5.5m [pounds sterling], accounting for one third of the total UK goats cheese category.
